My artistic practice includes oil painting, journal and children book writing, curating exhibitions and more. My paintings are mostly of landscape and botanical subjects. This focus marks an evolution from my earlier work in semi-abstract figurative art, reflecting a shift toward engaging with the craft and materiality of painting itself.

In recent years, the process has moved beyond simply depicting images to exploring the interplay of light, shadow, surface, and story telling, seeking harmony between representational imagery and painterly abstraction. This has led to a personal visual language that merges painterly technique with the themes I explore — real and mystical elements of the natural world.

In 2002, I my first book was published by Leó Publishing in iceland. Prior to that, I had written articles about topics as diverse as Politics in Cuba and Espionage in Asia for newspapers and journals. The long publication was a children's book, which I wrote and later illustrated in cooperation with my son.

I have exhibited in Denmark, Hong Kong, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden and most extensively in Iceland. My works can be found in homes in these countries as well as Canada, USA and Cuba. My current goal is to expand my portfolio and prepare for exhibitions in prominent, internationally recognized galleries

I worked for 7 years in China on Icelandic art promotion, and organized many cultural and artistic exchanges between the two countries. I currently live with my family in Iceland and remain open for all kinds of project, cooperation etc.
